The Entrance Hall is entered through double oak front doors that face west. The Hall is imposing, and has a wide marble staircase opposite the front door, leading to the first floor. Two more staircases lead to the Hufflepuff Common Room and the Kitchens, while another leads to the Dungeons. Transfiguration is taught in a rather dull and dark room, which is often full of cages containing things for people to practice transfiguration on. The teacher’s desk is at the front next to a blackboard and the windows are often covered up by wood panels. Moderator: Lucius Malfoy
The Great Hall is to the right of the Entrance Hall. The Great Hall contains one long table for each House, and a high table for the Ministers of Magic. The ceiling is enchanted so that it shows a view of the sky as it currently appears outside. Moderator: Lucius Malfoy
The Hufflepuff Common Room is in the cellar, adjacent to the kitchens. They are located through the door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall, down a flight of stone steps and along a broad, stone corridor lit with torches and decorated cheerfully. Moderator: Lucius Malfoy
